Basement contributor Matt Bellamy has taken it upon himself to watch and
review at least one horror movie a day for
the month of October . . . because he's awesome that way! Today, Bellamy heads across the pond and discovers some of the British can be a little bitey.
as
gone to hell their survivalism kicks into high gear, they quickly
gather some supplies and formulate a plan: get to the pub! Wait, pick up
those who are closest to them first and THEN... get to the pub, much
better. It's impossible to not at least grin throughout the majority of
the runtime, the chemistry between the leads is honest and real, the
laughs are genuine and earned, and there's real heart here too, y'know,
before it gets torn out by zombies. I would also like to make note that
the zombies in this movie are "slow-moving zombies" which is how it
should be. In many recent horror movies of this type, "fast, running
zombies" have been popular and although there are many who enjoy that,
I'm a purist and believe that shambling and groaning is the only way to
go! "KILL THE QUEEN!"
