Obscurity, thy name is The Basement. But that's what The Basement is all about -- finding and reviewing those off-the-grid B-movies and letting you know which ones to watch and what to avoid.
Tonight's double bill features a couple of flicks most people haven't heard of or seen. Well, one for sure. The other, maybe.
As if selling a house isn't hard enough, try selling one that's haunted. That's the premise behind the horror-comedy The Selling, which is slowly unspooling on VOD and the festival circuit. Haunted house movies are ripe for spoofing. And who doesn't mind making fun of a realtor or two? Does this high-concept comedy hit or miss? Stick with us!
Then it's The Fields, a psychological thriller about adolescence from 6 Degree of Hell scribe Harrison Smith. Harrison talked this flick up during last week's feature interview with him, and now it's Jason and Shawn's turn to weigh in with the executioner's axe. Does this true story stack up in their biased minds? You'll have to listen if you want to find out.
Cloris Leachman and Tara Reid are still alive, by the way.
And you gotta hear the next installment in The Month from Hell, where we feature interviews with the cast and crew of the upcoming horror flick 6 Degrees of Hell. It all culminates in our Halloween Spooktacular and an exclusive interview with star Corey Feldman. Tonight: we talk with director Joe Raffa!
So grab your poison of choice and tune in at 10 p.m. PST at 92.5FM CFBX Kamloops and online at www.thex.ca. You can follow along to the mad tweets of Mike S on Twitter! What else do you have to do at 10 p.m. on Thursday night?
